It has now been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, The Brass Verdict

As he travels around Los Angeles, he takes on cases while balancing his personal life, which includes being a father and having two ex-wives. It was originally set up with CBS for a 2020 series, but was canceled shortly before the first episode was filmed due to COVID.

Mickey Haller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates with legal conditions. Custom California license plates allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey plates have a minimum of eight.

A few twists, as is typical of the genre

Highly Watchable The plot is perhaps a bit predictable, but that doesn’t make it any worse. I love the representation of family and work dynamics.
