Dwight « The General » Manfredi: I don’t really go to church. The opening credits sequence shows several photographic and painted views, as well as Oklahoma landmarks imposed on the New York City landscape: a statue of Sioux Indian chief « Touch the Clouds » wearing a war bonnet and a bone choker (breastplate) imposed on top of the Brooklyn BridgeThe Golden Driller statue imposed on the Statue of LibertyRoute 66 Western Gateway Arch imposed on a major Manhattan « Avenue. » In New York City, in the borough of Manhattan, there are several numbered « avenues » that are intersected by smaller numbered streets.

I’ve loved Tulsa King so far

In fact, I love everything Taylor Sheridan does, so I knew this wouldn’t be any different. This is a fun crime series that knows exactly what it wants to be and you can tell the cast, led by Sylvester Stallone, is having a blast doing it.

He thinks he’s getting a hero’s welcome, but he’s sent to Tulsa to run things

It’s about a New York mob boss named Dwight « The General » Manfredi (Stallone) who is released from prison after 25 years. After not feeling the love from his gang the way he thought he would, he starts building his own in Tulsa.

It’s clearly doing well because it’s already been renewed for a second season, which is great news!
