It follows Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as they have a long-standing rivalry that comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner had previously filmed at Chavenage House (Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to depict Trenwitha House in the 2015 BBC adaptation of Poldark. I laugh at some of the reviews, apparently from readers who take themselves too seriously. This is an adaptation of Jilly Cooper. It’s not a series to be intellectualised or morally judged. It’s so much fun. Great cast. Yes, RCB’s hair and eyes are not a bad color. Just like Taggies hair. But they work. Somehow.RCB will be disappointed some because of this. But Alex Hassell captures everything else about him. Danny Dyer is perfect. David Tennant is EXCELLENT as always. And Aidan Turner is simply gorgeous, if a bit young to play Declan. He falters slightly in the last third. But yes. It’s great fun. You watched it all in one go.
