It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a television documentary journalist whose work is built on uncovering the transgressions of long-respected institutions. Gary Oldman was rumored to be cast, but was replaced by Kevin Kline.

Such a lens would not be able to focus close-up subjects such as selfies with Sasha or in the bedroom with Catherine. Some of the negative reviews seem to suggest that good reviews are a "conspiracy", unable to grasp the simple concept that we all have different tastes.

It is well acted, and the story develops impressively

There are plot holes for sure, but the story really hits home when you realize that every character is a despicable human being and you see the terrible cruelty, ego and hatred that simmers in the human psyche. The 7/10 rating reflects the plot holes, everything that happened between Katherine and Jonathan was witnessed only by them, but somehow the grieving mother wrote it as if he saw every moment, and then it just became a fact of the series.

But it’s powerful, the emotion it instills, the wonderful way you catch yourself feeling sorry for one of the characters, only to realize they’re despicable

Worth a look (I’m not a bot or an employee of the production company in case there are any conspiracy theorists here)…..(that’s what THEY would say!!)
